CURRENCY
The currency in Poland is Zloty, which compares to our dollar. Currently 1 Polish Zloty equals .29 in US dollars. Poland also uses Groszy which is comparable to our coin currency. Money is best to be exchanged through a Cantor in Poland as exchanging money at the airport gives you a lower exchange rate.
DRESS
Casual attire is acceptable for teaching. Please, no short shorts or crop tops. Jeans or longer shorts are permissible to wear.
CARRY-ON LUGGAGE
It is best to take your medicine, a change of clothes, and important class materials with you in a carry-on luggage. There are many great shopping places to purchase toiletries and miscellaneous person products after you get to Poland to avoid extra weight and space in your luggage. It is suggested to have a photocopy of your passport, airline tickets, and birth certificate with you in case the original gets misplaced.

WEATHER
The weather in Nowy Sacz is comparable to the Midwest without the humidity. Evenings cool down very nicely. Always be prepared for rain days, so please bring something for protection as well as a jacket.
BEHAVIOR
The educators will be working with young students, so please keep that idea in mind in and out of the classroom. It is the goal for this experience to be upstanding and positive. Any inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated. If that should occur, the person will be asked to leave at their own expense.
